Getting Started

Please explain the difference between stages, blocks, and concepts

Stages – Stages are levels. You’ll begin your journey with Stage 1-Trust. There are five stages (levels) in your program. Each stage lasts six weeks.

Blocks – Blocks are courses. There are three blocks within each stage. Each block lasts two weeks.

Concepts – Each block contains lessons, games, and tips. There will be 5-15 concepts within each block.

How long is the program?

There will be 30 weeks of active course time to complete all five stages.

It will take between six to twelve months to complete your program, depending if you take small breaks in between the stages.

There will be eight weeks off annually to refuel (dates TBD). The program will be paused during those holiday breaks.

Do I need to enrol in all five stages?

No. Often, you will only need to do the first, possibly second, stages.

Working dogs (therapy and service) are strongly urged to complete all five stages of the program.

Over the last 15+ years, Carina has helped me with so many different training challenges.
Taking classes with her is such a delight – I have so much fun learning that things that were once challenges just become opportunities to have more fun!  Carina’s keen eye and ability to dissect behaviour issues has helped me be a better dog parent.  One of the most valuable things I’ve learned from her, is that dog training is not “one size, fits all”.
Thank you!
